Indianapolis, IN—Leo Brown Group, a leading developer, owner, and operator of senior living properties in the Midwest, announces the start of construction of a $15 Million expansion of its existing Traditions at North Willow senior living community located on West 86th Street, directly to the east of the St. Vincent Hospital campus. When completed in the fall of 2019, this project – named the Villas at North Willow – will add 50 independent living residences to the senior living campus, which currently offers 120 assisted living and memory care residences.
This new independent living option will consist of attractive one-story villas, with the majority of the residences having two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Other features of the Villas at North Willow include full kitchens, attached garages, an emergency response system, gated security, community-wide sidewalks, an enclosed dog park, a clubhouse with a fitness center and multipurpose gathering space along with the peace of mind of living within a maintenance-free environment. In addition, the future residents of the Villas at North Willow will have full access to the dining, amenities, social activities, events and scheduled transportation that is available at Traditions at North Willow.
“We are thrilled that we can bring this new independent living service line to our community,” states Shelly McFall, Executive Director of Traditions at North Willow. “This expansion enables us to operate as a continuum of care community where our residents will have the ability to age in place from independent living to assisted living to secure memory care, if needed.”
Through its wholly-owned management company, Traditions Management, Leo Brown Group runs the day-to-day operations of Traditions at North Willow. According to Libby Mellinger, Community Relations Director at the community, “We feel we have a noticeable advantage in providing care to our residents and managing our community with the fact that our owners are located right down the street.” Mellinger continues, “Our owners visit the community very frequently and it really enables them to get to know our residents and staff well and listen to what is important to everyone who makes Traditions at North Willow such a special place to live and work.”
